6.1.1. CFD Results
CFD analysis indicates that the TCASE sensor temperature is 75.4⁰ C. Because this value is less than the 78.5⁰ C, we know that the TJ-MAX is less than 100⁰ C. You can calculate the TJ from the following equation:
TJ= TCASE + TDP*ѰJCFrom the Thermal tab in the PTC, we know that TDP = 12.938 watts and ΨJC = 1.586⁰ C/W, therefore:
TJ = 75.4+12.938*1.587 = 96° C
