2.5.4. Plotting Waveforms

The simulation allows plotting waveforms for graphical analysis.
  1. To use GUI mode for ModelSim or Questa, open the simulator GUI and run source msim_setup.tcl, then enter the command ld_debug.
    You can then add the signals you want to plot before running the simulation.
  2. To use GUI mode for Synopsys VCSMX, first run source sim.sh as you do for command line execution. Then, type ./simv -gui to open the simulator GUI. You can then add the signals you want to plot before running the simulation.
