| Number | Done? | Checklist item |
|---|---|---|
1 |
Identify which package meets your current and future design requirements. |
|
2 |
Identify "Device Group" and "Device Specification" that you are planning to migrate to. |
|
3 |
Identify which migration scenario is involved in your planning, either Conditional or Vertical migration. |
|
4 |
Ensure that you have implemented the board design requirement for Conditional migration scenario. |
The Agilex™ 5 device family consists of Agilex™ 5 D-Series and Agilex™ 5 E-Series as discussed in the Device Variant section. The scope for this guideline is applicable for device migration within the same Device Family. Migration between the Agilex™ 5 D-Series and Agilex™ 5 E-Series devices are not supported.
The Agilex™ 5 E-Series devices are available in Device Group A and Device Group B, each of which differs in VID or fixed voltage power scheme support and transceiver speed support. The Agilex™ 5 D-Series devices support VID voltage power scheme only. Depending on the device that you are planning to migrate to, there are two possible migration scenarios that you may encounter, which is called Conditional Migration and Vertical Migration.
Review the Agilex™ 5 D-Series and Agilex™ 5 E-Series product tables to determine which package meets your current and future design requirement when performing migration. Consider which "Device Group" and "Device Specification" that you are planning to migrate to. Understand the resource differences of your migration device to determine which of the migration category involves, either Conditional or Vertical. Ensure that you have pre-planned your board design to support the device that you are planning to migrate under Conditional migration category.
