4.6. IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol

The IEEE 1588 Precision Time Protocol (PTP) feature enables the PHY IP to provide the datapath latency measurements to the MAC IP. Refer to the F-tile Low Latency Ethernet 10G MAC User Guide for more details about the IEEE 1588 PTP.
