Part 4—What it Means to Design New Things in a Global Ecosystem

Inspired by the innovation happening in Shenzhen, China, outside of established organizations and in the open-source hardware movement, Silvia Lidner has been teaching social computing, global design, and entrepreneurship. She does this by bringing together students from different the school of the arts, entrepreneurship, engineering, and information into project based initiatives that intersect with real manufacturing and design houses in Shenzhen.
