Intel Folsom, near Sacramento, California, employs 6,800 engineers, technicians, sales and support staff at this research and design campus. The site is home to three major product divisions (Intel Architecture, Reseller Products Group, Wireless Communications and Computing Group), Intel's Americas Sales and Marketing Operation and the company's Information Technology organization.
Since the company came to Folsom in 1984, Intel has provided meaningful charitable contributions to the Sacramento region and the people who live here. The Folsom campus focuses their efforts to address specific community needs by supporting educational, environmental and community service programs and organizations. Folsom employees are also very active in volunteering at schools and nonprofit organizations.

Intel is the largest private industry employer in Folsom and is one of the largest private employers in the Sacramento region.
Seven buildings occupy the 214 acre site. Construction was begun on the eighth building and a five story parking structure but both are now on hold pending business conditions. The ninth and final building on the campus has been approved by the City of Folsom and will be constructed when business conditions warrant.
