Unexpected System Freeze During Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics Driver Installation through Intel® DSA

Description

An unexpected system freeze occurred while updating the Intel® Arc™ A-Series Graphics driver using the Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA).

Resolution

  1. Before proceeding with the new driver installation, uninstall the Intel Driver & Support Assistant (IDSA). Reboot your system
  2. Go to Intel Drivers & Support Assitant website and reinstall the application.
  3. Try resintalling the driver again.

If system keep freezing:

  1. Go to Intel Download Center and download the Intel® Arc™ Graphics Driver
    1. If you are having this same issue with a different Intel Graphics product, download the appropriate driver.
  2. Uninstall the Intel Driver & Support Assistant (IDSA)
  3. Perform a clean installation of the driver.
