Laptop Not Able to Reach Full Network Speeds via Wireless and Ethernet

Windows 11* Family, Windows® 10 family
MSI GS66 Stealth 10SE with Intel Killer Ethernet E3100 2.5 GBPS and Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160 MHz

Description

After doing a network speed increase of 1Gb with the internet provider, the laptop is not able to reach the full speed that it was acquired neither on wireless or ethernet. Currently, the laptop only caps at speed of 450mbs or lower.

Resolution

  • Make sure the system is up to date (Operative System updates, drivers, and BIOS). You can find the latest Intel drivers for wireless and ethernet on our Download Center. However, it is recommended to use the drivers provided by the manufacturer. Contact the Original Manufacturer of your system for further assistance
  • Perform a clean installation of the wireless drivers and clean installation of the Killer control center, this can help solve multiple issues with the driver that could affect the network speed.

  • If the issue persists, contact the Original Manufacturer of your computer or Internet service provided for further assistance
