Random BSODs on Intel® Iris® Xe MAX Graphics

Random to frequent blue screen (BSOD) crashes occur. Screen displays error:
Stop Code: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
What failed: igdkmnd64.sys
Install the latest graphics driver from your computer manufacturer. If installing the computer manufacturer driver does not resolve the issue, update to the latest Intel® graphics driver.
If the issue is still present after updating your graphics driver, contact Intel Support.
