To update in UEFI shell (recommended):

  1. Download the latest firmware package.
  2. Extract the zip file into a USB drive.
  3. Reboot the system and boot to EFI shell.
  4. Run *.nsh (Replace *.nsh with the name for your controller, for example, RS3UC080.nsh).

To update in operating systems, for example, Windows*:

  1. Navigate to the desired OS folder under SAS3FLASH in the firmware package.
  2. Copy sas3flash.exe to the folder that contains the latest firmware (*.bin).
  3. Open a command prompt with Administrator privilege.
  4. Run sas3flash.exe -f *.bin -b mptsas3.rom -b mpt3x64.rom (Replace *.bin with the firmware filename for your controller, for example, RS3UC080.bin).
