Intel Atom® Processors x7000E Series and Intel® Core™ i3-N305 Processors for IoT Edge
Accelerate deep learning and media processing for IoT edge applications like digital signage, POS systems, and more with power-efficient Intel Atom® processors x7000E Series, Intel® Processor N Series, and Intel® Core™ i3-N305 processors. These processors feature the same Efficient-core (or E-core) and Intel® UHD Graphics driven by Xe architecture as 12th Gen Intel® Core™ processors. Using the same architecture makes it easier to port applications and solutions across Intel® CPU performance and power ranges.
Including up to four cores in Intel Atom® processors x7000E Series and up to eight cores on Intel® Core™ i3 processors, these processors offer LPDDR5 and DDR5 memory, and expanded I/Os. The processors deliver up to 1.30x faster single-thread performance and up to 1.09x faster multi-thread performance as compared to previous generation.1 They also offer critical capabilities for IoT edge use cases like hardware virtualization, multi-OS support, and real-time computing.2

Key Features on the Intel Atom® Processors x7000E Series
Expand your IoT edge capabilities for AI, 4K media, and real-time computing with Intel Atom® processors x7000E Series (6W to 12W) and Intel® Core™ i3 processors (9W to 15W). They blend efficiency, performance, deep-learning inference accelerators, and built-in Intel® UHD graphics for edge applications, making them ideal for retail point of sale (POS) and digital signage devices, portable medical imaging devices, or office automation.
Tuned for Deep Learning Inference2
Deliver exceptional AI acceleration with a modest power budget. The processors supports Intel® Advanced Vector Extensions 2 (Intel® AVX2) and Intel® Deep Learning Boost (Intel® DL Boost) to accelerate compute-intensive operations and deep learning inference processing with up to 6.85x increase in GPU object detection inference performance1 and up to 1.68x increase in graphics processing versus the previous generation.1
The platform includes support for cross-architecture deep learning inference with the Intel® Distribution of OpenVINO™ toolkit, as well as parallel processing of AI workloads with integrated Intel® UHD Graphics driven by Xe architecture.
Engaging Visual Experiences
Drive up to three 4K60 displays with Intel® UHD Graphics with up to 32 execution units (EUs). Select Intel Atom® processors x7000E Series and Intel® Core™ i3-N305 processor platforms support up to three concurrent 4K60 SDR or one 4K60 HDR displays and feature Pipelock synchronization on two display outputs (Windows* OS only).2
Single root IO virtualization (SR-IOV) enables virtual GPUs while a media processing and acceleration API provides precise control over image quality and encode/decode performance.
Support for Hardware Virtualization and More
Intel Atom® processors x7000E Series feature key enhancements for the IoT edge including support for hardware virtualization, hypervisors, and real-time workloads.2 These features include hardware-level virtualization and support for multiple operating systems, real-time computing with Intel® Time Coordinated Computing (Intel® TCC),2 3 and a 2.5 GbE Time-Sensitive Networking-capable integrated MAC on the platform controller hub (PCH).
Ready for IoT Edge
With long-term software support4 for Windows* 10 IoT Enterprise 2021 LTSC and LTS Linux* kernel, it’s easier to manage devices with familiar software features and longer periods between updates. And with long-life availability4 and feature rated for edge use cases on select Intel® platforms, IoT edge customers can drive more value out of Intel Atom® processors x7000E Series for long-term deployments.
Management and security5 features, such as Intel® OS Guard, Intel® Virtualization Technology (Intel® VT), Intel® Boot Guard, Intel® Platform Trust Technology (Intel® PTT) and more, provide platform integrity and data protection as well as hardware-assisted crypto acceleration.
