The Intel-Basic-IB.DISTRO. installation package (where DISTRO is the OS distribution) installs the Intel® Host Software components needed to setup compute, service, and login nodes on InfiniBand* networks.

Detailed Description

The IntelEth-Basic-IB.DISTRO. installation package (where DISTRO is the OS distribution) installs the Intel® Host Software components needed to set up compute, Service, and login nodes on InfiniBand* networks.

The installation package includes the following components:

  • Basic Tools
  • PSM3
  • kernel Module
  • OFA Debug Info

A separate EFS installation package is available for each of the supported Linux* distributions. Refer to the release notes of the version being installed for a list of supported Linux* distributions.

The IFS packaging consists of many individual RPM and SRPM components. Each component is provided with its own license file. The following is an example list (not a complete listing) of the various licenses:

  • GNU General Public License v2.0 (Kernel modules only, does not link to any other component)

In addition, a “Third party Copyright Notices and Licenses” document is included which provides copies
of all third party licensing that may have been used in the development of the software contained in the
package. These are not outbound licenses for any item in this package and are provided for reference
