When you start your Quartus® Prime Pro Edition installation for the first time, the License Setup Required dialog box list of available no-cost licensing options might be blank or missing the following no-cost license: Agilex™ 3 Series FPGA Software enablement SW-AGILEX-3. | Check your internet proxy settings in the Quartus® Prime software by selecting . Your Quartus® Prime installation must be able to access the internet to retrieve the current list of available no-cost licenses. |
For Agilex™ 3 devices, the Quartus® Prime tools incorrectly report that optional pin functions for the SmartVID feature are available. Agilex™ 3 devices do not support the SmartVID feature. The following pin functions are not available for Agilex™ 3 devices: PWRMGT_SDA, PWGMGT_SCL, and PWRMGT_ALERT. |
For accurate pin information for Agilex™ 3 devices, refer to the Agilex™ 3 Device Pin-Out Files available from the Pin-Out Files for Altera FPGAs web page . For more information, refer to "Does Agilex™ 3 support SmartVID optional functions for some pin names in Quartus® Prime Pro?" in the FPGA Knowledge Base. |
For Agilex™ 3 devices, when you use the IP Wizard function in the Power and Thermal Calculator, you might encounter the following fatal error:*** Fatal Error: Segment Violation: faulting address=0x8, PC=0x7ffff3c8a910 : 0x7ffff3c8a910: Qt6Widgets!QWizardPage::wizard() const or PTC ERROR: [epe_architecture.cpp:3217] it != m_ip_elements.end() |
Avoid using the IP Wizard function of the Power and Thermal Calculator for Agilex™ 3 devices. Add IP resources to the calculator manually. For more information and the availability of a fix for this issue, refer to "" in the FPGA Knowledge Base. |
