1.1. New Features and Enhancements
Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software Version 24.2 includes functional and security updates. Keep your software up-to-date and follow the technical recommendations that help to improve the security of your Quartus® Prime installation.
Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software Version 24.2 includes the following new features and enhancements:
- Added support for new Agilex™ 5 and Agilex™ 7 devices. For details, refer to Changes in Device Support.
- For Agilex™ 5 E-Series devices, you can now obtain a 1-year no-cost license for the Quartus® Prime software and the Questa* Intel® FPGA Starter Edition software directly from the License Setup page in the Quartus® Prime GUI.
You can also obtain these licenses from the FPGA Self-Service Licensing Center as in previous releases.
- For Agilex™ 5 devices, enhanced the Quartus® Prime GUI by adding the Enable CRAM Integrity Check option in the Device and Pin Options dialog box under the Error Detection CRC category.
- For designs that contain video connectivity simplex IPs (such as SDI, HDMI, DisplayPort) and target Agilex™ 5 devices, you can use the new DS Assignment Editor to place two simplex IPs in the same transceiver channel by using dual simplex mode. To merge two simplex IPs into a dual simplex IP and instantiate the merged IP in your RTL, run the new HSSI Dual Simplex IP Generation compilation stage.
Bug Fixes
