1.1. New Features and Enhancements

Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software Version 22.2 includes functional and security updates. Keep your software up-to-date and follow the technical recommendations that help to improve the security of your Intel® Quartus® Prime installation.

Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software Version 22.2 includes the following new features and enhancements:
  • (Beta) Introduced Design Netlist Infrastructure (DNI) that streamlines foundational aspects of the Intel® Quartus® Prime software.
  • (Beta) Introduced the RTL Analyzer, which helps you analyze the results of your DNI compilation flows as follows:
    • View schematics of design elements.

    • Examine assignments and SDC constraints attached to object in your design.

    • Understand why Synthesis removed logic in your design with the Sweeps Hints Viewer.

  • Added support for Dynamic Reconfiguration flow by adding the following features:
    • New Tile Assignment Editor
    • Interactive placement for Dynamic Reconfiguration groups and Multirate IPs (such as the F-tile CPRI PHY Multirate Intel FPGA IP).
  • Enhanced RAM random initialization feature.
  • Introduced the RiscFree* IDE for Intel FPGAs for Arm* based HPS and RISC-V* based Nios® V processors.
  • Enhanced Nios® V support as follows:
    • Enhanced Nios® V tools and flows to support the RiscFree* IDE for Intel FPGAs.
    • Enhanced Nios® V/m processor with a Reset Request Interface to support a processor-only reset.

Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software Version 22.2 also includes bug fixes. Review Software Issues Resolved and Software Patches Included in this Release to see if this version contains fixes for or otherwise resolves any of your customer service requests.
