2.14. Booting from a Multi-QSPI Image

The decision firmware in the SDM, U-Boot and librsu (RSU Linux library) are provided with the capability to perform RSU operations over an image stored in a multi-QSPI system. This includes booting from an application located in any of the QSPI flash devices in the system. Up to 4 QSPI flash devices of the same model are supported allowing you to create a QSPI flash image with a much larger size. There is still a requirement that in this multi-QSPI image the boot information, factory image, configuration pointer blocks (CPBs) and sub-partition tables (SPTs) must be located in chip 0. For more information about how to generate the multi-QSPI image, refer to the Creating an Initial Multi-QSPI Flash Image section.

For additional information about using RSU in a multi-QSPI flash system, refer to the Using RSU with Multiple QSPI Flash Devices section.
