Intel® uses moisture/reflow sensitivity testing (J-STD-020A) guidelines to inform customers of device sensitivity to moisture-induced stress. After testing, devices are assigned sensitivity levels. These classification levels are useful in determining the proper storage and handling of Intel® devices to prevent thermal and mechanical damage during solder reflow or repair. Moisture sensitivity levels determine the length of time a device can be exposed to humidity.
You can locate the MSL information for Intel® FPGAs by referring to FPGA Moisture Sensitivity Level (MSL) Calculator.
Specifically for Intel® Stratix® 10 and Intel Agilex® devices, you can obtain the MSL information by contacting your local FAE or downloading the Manufacturing Advantage Services (MAS) documents for the respective devices and locating the MSL information inside the document.
