Is eMMC 8-bit data bus mode supported on Cyclone® V SoC and Arria® V SoC?

Description

Yes, the SDMMC controller on Cyclone® V SoC and Arria® V SoC does support an 8-bit data bus for eMMC.

The Hard Processor System Technical Reference Manual incorrectly states support for 1-bit and 4-bit data buses only.

Resolution

This error has been fixed in the Cyclone V Hard Processor System Technical Reference Manual.
