Why can't I set a PMBus slave address of 0x00 when using the Intel® Stratix® 10 FPGA SmartVID feature?

    Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description

Address 0x00 is a reserved address in the SMBus specification and thus cannot be used as the PMBus agent address when using the Intel® Stratix® 10 FPGA SmartVID feature. 

Resolution

Enter a non-zero value for the PMBus agent address.
