Error (11176): Alt_sld_fab.splitter: Port ir_in_0 is not fully defined after elaboration

Environment

    Quartus® II Subscription Edition
BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 14.1 and later, you may see this error in designs that include a Quartus II Exported Partition File (.qxp)
Resolution

To work around this problem, create a text file named quartus.ini in your project folder and add the following command:

  • sci_use_legacy_sld_flow=on

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus II software.
