Can I plug the MasterBlasterTM communications cable into the universal serial bus (USB) port on a Windows NT system?

Description No, the USB port is not supported by the Windows NT operating system. However, you can use the MasterBlaster communications cable with Windows NT through the serial port.

Note: You can use the MasterBlaster communications cable through the USB port in on a Windows 98 system in the Quartus® software version 1999.10 and higher and the MAX PLUS® II software version 9.4 and higher.
