Description
Due to a problem in the Quartus® II software version 13.0 and later, you may see this error when you add nodes to the Data tab of the SignalTap™ II Logic Analyzer. Each instance in the SignalTap II Logic Analyzer is limited to 2048 signals and exceeding this limit triggers this error.
Resolution
To work around this problem, ensure there are less than 2048 signals in a single instance of the SignalTap II Logic Analyzer.
Future versions of the Quartus II software are scheduled to generate a warning message when the signal limit is exceeded.
