When writing a CvP driver, what address should I issue the 244 dummy memory writes described in the CvP driver flow chart of the CvP User Guide?

Environment

  • Quartus® II Subscription Edition
  • BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
    Description

The 244 dummy memory writes can be configuration writes to the CVP_DATA register or memory writes to any address defined by a memory space BAR for this device.  Memory writes are preferred as they have a higher throughput than configuration writes.

The CVP_DATA Register is at Byte Offset 0x228 and is described in Table 6-7 of the CvP User Guide.

    Resolution

The user guide will be update in a future release to make this more clear.
