Why doesn't Synopsys Smart Models recognize DFF1 and DFF0 primitives when I simulate MAX PLUS® II output files?

Environment

BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description DFF1 and DFF0 are MAX PLUS II primitives used to define the power up state of registers in MAX® 7000AE devices.

Versions of Synopsys Smart Models created prior to October 1998 do not support the Altera® DFF1 and DFF0 primitives. Synopsys Smart Models version 10002 and higher do support these primitives. The Smart Model file used for MAX PLUS II output files are named altera<version number>.ccl, where the version number is 10002 or higher.

You can use Synopsys Smart Models in many third-party simulation tools (e.g., Synopsys VSS and Workview Office VCS). To obtain Synopsys Smart Models, contact Synopsys Logic Modeling.
