Critical Issue
Description
If you launch the ModelSim®-Altera
simulation software from a working directory that is mapped via
a universal naming convention (UNC) path (a path that starts with // instead
of drive letter), you receive the following error message in SOPC
Builder: UNC paths are not supported. Defaulting to Windows
directory. This error occurs because ModelSim is calling
a command shell, which does not support UNC paths.
Resolution
Map the UNC path to a drive letter and use the drive letter to reference the working directory in the launching shell.
