Why does the Temperature Sensor Intel® Stratix® 10 FPGA IP core always read out the value 0xFFFFE700?

Environment

    Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition
BUILT IN - ARTICLE INTRO SECOND COMPONENT
Description

Due to a problem in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 18.0.1 and earlier, the Temperature Sensor Intel® Stratix® 10 FPGA IP core  may incorrectly read out 0xFFFFE700 which represents -25 degree C.

Resolution

This problem has been fixed in the Intel® Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software version 18.1
