Why is the 09 SMART attribute on my Intel® SSD 520 Series reporting abnormally high numbers?
The 09 SMART attribute is the Power on Counter. The issue with this counter does not affect general SSD functionality. There is no need for concern about the usability or expected life of your SSD. We recommend referencing SMART attribute E9 (Media Wear-out Indicator) to monitor the long term health of your SSD.
Why are the E2 and E4 SMART attributes reporting large numbers?
Generally, these attributes are only used in specific test environments. The definition for SMART attributes E2 (Timed Workload Media Wear) and E4 (Timed Workload Timer) can be found in the product specification. These attributes are not used to indicate long-term SSD health or performance.
Why are the SMART attributes AE and C0 incrementing incorrectly?
The incorrect incrementing issue with the SMART attributes AE (Expected Power Loss) and C0 (Unsafe Shut-down Count) do not affect general SSD functionality. There is no need for concern about the usability or expected life of your SSD.
Why is the SMART attribute BB reporting a high count?
The incorrect incrementing of the SMART attribute BB (Uncorrectable Error Count) is being investigated.
