How To Solve Connection Issue of Intel® Unison™ Smart Share With Magic Tap

Environment

Operating System

Windows 11* Family
Microsoft Windows* 11 SV2 and above, Wireless, Bluetooth, iOS* 15.x and above, Android* 9 and above, Lenovo ThinkPad® X9 Aura Edition Series

Some of Android* devices may experience difficulties with Smart Share Magic Tap.

Identify the Issue:
Open Intel® Unison™ PC App.
Locate Smart Share wizard.

Magic Tap feature will showing a red X and the message of We encountered a problem with the Tap feature, this indicates a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connection problem.

Steps to solve the issue:

  1. Uninstall latest Google* Play Services Update:
    • Go to Settings on your Android* device.
    • Navigate to Apps (validation to find different menu name)
    • If available, select See all apps
    • Select Google* Play services
    • Navigate to App details or App details in store
    • Tap on Uninstall updates.
  2. Reinstall Google* Play Services Update:
    • Click on Update
  3. Restart Device: Restart your Android* device.
  4. Retry Magic Tap: Attempt the Magic Tap connection again.

 

Alternative Method Using F11 Key:
Alternatively initiate the same functionality by pressing the F11 key on your keyboard.
