Description

The system fan is making a loud noise. What can be done to mitigate this?

Attempt the following to reduce the issues being seen with the system fan:

Restore BMC to factory default.
- From the BMC web console -> Server Diagnostics -> System Defaults
Power drain the server by pressing the power button for 30-45 seconds and check if the issue still persists.
If the issue still persists, then check if the BIOS firmware and the FRU/SDR are on the latest version.
If the noise persists, put the server in downtime and perform Bare Minimum configuration.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, gather debug logs and contact Intel Support.
