BIOS Label Is Not Updated after Flashing the BIOS on the Intel® Server M50FCP Family

Description

Executed the Startup.nsh to update the BIOS and related FW packages. Once complete, the name of the BIOS in the Active region was not updated and still stated factory.

If the name in the Active region does not get updated, try to install the packages individually:

  1. Update CPLD:
    1. Execute the following command: sysfwupdt.efi -u CPLD_Binary , example CPLD binary name: pfr_fcp_10m50_v2p8_cfm1_auto_prd.bin
    2. Do Not reset the system after this update
  2. Update the BMC:
    1. Execute the following command: sysfwupdt.efi -u BMC_Binary, example of BMC binary name: fcp-signed-OBMC-egs-1.53-3-g2a59e1-c2bd0000-pfr-oob.bin
    2. Reset the system to apply the CPLD and BMC FW components update.
  3. Update the BIOS:
    1. Execute the following command: sysfwupdt.efi -u BIOS_Binary, an example of BIOS binary name: R01.01.0004_FoxCreekPass_EBG_SPR_UpdateCapsule_prd.bin

If this does not work, try to load the BIOS from the Recovery region if this is up to date, BIOS Recovery Procedure for Current Intel® Server Boards.
