Summary
Settings in the BIOS that will interfere with the RAID Option ROM from being displayed during POST
Description
The hotkey to enter the RAID Option ROM is not available during boot/POST.
Resolution
The hotkey option to enter the Option ROM is disabled by default.
To display this option, the Intel® Quiet or Silent Boot options need to be disabled in the BIOS. This will disable the Intel splash screen during POST displaying the hotkey for the option ROM.
This may apply to RAID controllers as well as other add-in adapters such as RAID controller cards.
The Matrix Storage Manager Option ROM will display only when the following is met:
- RAID is enabled in the BIOS
- At least two drives are connected to the system
- Quiet Boot is disabled in the BIOS
