Unable to Access Interactive Mode on Intel® Developer Cloud Batch Service Instance

Description

  • Connected to a Batch Service instance.
  • Executed srun --pty bash command to access interactive mode.
  • Encountered error:srun: job 16030 queued and waiting for resources
    srun: job 16030 has been allocated resources
    slurmstepd-idc-beta-batch-pvc-node-07: error: couldn't chdir to `/home/uXXXXXX': No such file or directory: going to /tmp instead
    slurmstepd-idc-beta-batch-pvc-node-07: error: couldn't chdir to `/home/uXXXXXX': No such file or directory: going to /tmp instead

Resolution

Submit a service request through Intel Customer Support for further investigation.

Additional information

  1. Check for available nodes.
    sinfo -al
  2. Access interactive mode on the other node, e.g. node 02.
    srun --pty --nodelist=idc-beta-batch-pvc-node-02 bash
