Description

Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA), will request the Ethernet drivers on Intel® NUC, to be updated, but if hit the installation button the driver is not installed, causing Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA) to notify that there is a new update for the drivers once again

Resolution

Updating the Ethernet driver manually may fix the issue.

How to update the Ethernet driver manually:

  1. Download the latest Intel® Ethernet (LAN) Driver from Download Center.
  2. Extract the downloaded .zip file.
  3. Open the extracted folder and locate the e2f.inf file.
  4. Right-Click the .inf file, and click on install.

If the same issue persists do the following

  1. Download the latest Intel® Ethernet (LAN) Driver from Download Center.
  2. Extract the downloaded .zip file.
  3. Go to Device Manager.
  4. Locate the Ethernet Lan controller
  5. Right-click on the Ethernet Lan controller and select Properties
  6. Go to the Driver tab
  7. Select Update Driver
  8. Select Browse my computer for drivers
  9. Browse and select the folder that contains the Lan driver
  10. Click on Next
  11. When the driver update is complete, reboot the Nuc.
