Intel® Driver & Support Assistant (Intel® DSA) Installation Error Messages

Error Code or Type Title Description
0x80070642 or 0x800704C7 Installation Cancelled Installation cannot proceed because it was cancelled.
0x80072ee7 Could not connect to the internet Please verify your Internet connection and try the installation again.
0x80070652 Another installation is in progress Another installation is in progress.
HttpProxyAuthentication
or HttpServerAuthentication
Could not connect to the network proxy Please verify your Internet connection and proxy settings and try the installation again.
0x80070570 or 0x80070666 Missing or corrupt file Errors like 0x80070570 and 0x80070666 can be caused by corrupted registries of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable programs or by Firewall and Antivirus software blocking certain programs. Please repair your installation or download and re-install Intel® DSA.
All other errors Installation failed One or more issues caused the setup to fail. Please fix the issues and then retry setup. For more information, see the log file.

 

Scanning and Detection Errors and Warnings

Invalid Configuration Data Intel® DSA could not find the information needed to display a list of updates. Please choose Refresh Results to try again.
4021 Invalid Configuration Folder The program could not find a folder to write its downloads and data. Please go to settings and pick a valid folder.

4007, 4023, 4025
No Configuration Data There was a network error, or no internet connection was available. Please check your internet connection and then choose Refresh Results to try again.
4012, 4013 Refresh Failure There was a network error, or no internet connection was available. Please check your internet connection and then choose Refresh Results to try again.
4004, 4009, 4010, 4011,
4022
Scan Failure Failed to scan system for updates. Please choose Refresh Results to try again.
4014, 4015, 4016, 4017,
4018, 4019, 4024, 4026,
4028
Stale Configuration Data, Stale Device Data, Stale System Data, Stale Update Data Information about updates, system, or devices is out of date. Please choose Refresh Results to get the latest information.

 

Update Download Errors

Title Description
Download Unavailable This update is no longer available. Please select Refresh Results on the left side of the Intel® DSA dashboard to get the latest update information.
Download Write Error Intel® DSA was unable to save the update to your system. Please check the free space and permissions on your Intel® DSA download folder.
Download Timed Out The download took too long to complete and was cancelled. Please check your internet connection and try again.
Download Cancelled The download was cancelled by the user.
Download Failed to Start The download was not able to start. Please try again.
Download Failed Unexpectedly The download failed while in progress. Please check your internet connection and try again.

 

Update Installation Errors

Error Code or Type Title Description
1633 Unsupported Platform This installation package is not supported on this platform.
1632 Temp Folder Inaccessible The Temp folder is either full or inaccessible.
1623 Unsupported Language This language of this installation package is not supported by your system.
1618 Installation Already Running Another installation is already in progress.
-2147483648 Failed to elevate A prompt to run the upgrade was cancelled.
