Summary
Troubleshoot issues with blank screens with Thunderbolt displays.
Description
The Thunderbolt display will sometimes go to a black screen without warning.
Resolution
Change the Windows power management setting for the Thunderbolt controller:
- Press the Windows key and x
- Select Device Manager
- Expand the System devices section.
- Right-click the Thunderbolt(TM) Controller and select Properties
- On the Power Management tab, uncheck the box for Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
- Click OK
- Close Device Manager
