Description

The server shut down with a Soft Power Control Failure event suddenly.

Resolution

  1. Ensure the server Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) is the latest. See BIOS Update for Intel® Server Boards
  2. Verify all power cables and adapters are connected properly [electrical outlet power cables as well as those between the power supply units (PSUs) and system components].
  3. Cross-test the PSUs, if possible.

If after the tests PSU still fails, please generate a DebugLog and submit it to Intel® Customer Support for analysis. Contact Intel for Your Support Solutions
