Unable to Open Sample from Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX) SDK for Windows* in Visual Studio* 2017

Windows® 10*, Windows® 10, 32-bit*, Windows® 10, 64-bit*
Visual Studio 2017

Description

  • Enabled Intel® SGX using the SGX Activation App.
  • Installed Intel SGX SDK for Windows
  • Attempted to open SDK sample and received error in dialog box: The vstemplate file references the wizard class 'SEWizardVS2017.SGXWizard', which does not exist in the assembly 'SEWizardVS2017'

Resolution

Repair or re-install the Intel® SGX SDK:

  • Run the SGX SDK installer again and select Repair.
  • When the repair is finished, open an SGX sample.
  • If repairing does not solve the problem, then remove the SDK completely and re-install it.
  • When installing the SDK, select Intel® SGX Visual Studio 2017 Debugger and Intel® SGX Visual Studio 2017 Integration.
  • Open an SGX sample.
