Graphics and on Screen Text Appears Pixelated

Windows® 10 family

Troubleshooting steps when the display graphics becomes pixelated

  • Display graphics became pixelated and the fonts are hard to read.
  • Pixelated or blurry text is noticeable from a browser or an application
  • Low clarity or quality and difficult-to-read lettering from the screen

Follow the steps below to fix the issue:

  1. Type Advance System Settings in the Windows Search Bar
  2. Click Settings from the Performance section
  3. Untick Smooth Edge Screen Fonts then, click Apply
  4. Tick Smooth Edge Screen Fonts again then, click Apply
  5. Restart the system

If the issue is not resolved:

  • Check the display cables, and if available, use another monitor to isolate if it is an issue with the monitor
  • Use other graphics ports if available
  • Update the drivers. See How to Install an Intel® Graphics Driver in Windows® 10 & Windows 11*
  • Check if the issue happens inside the BIOS configuration screen (To access the BIOS, check with the motherboard/laptop manufacturer).
  • Contact the system manufacturer if the system is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) for the drivers.

If the issue persists, contact Intel Support.
