How to Change Boot Order in BIOS on Intel® Server Boards

Description

Need to modify the boot device priority order to boot from a specific drive or RAID array on Intel® Server Board

Resolution

To change the Boot Order and set the drives or the Redundant array of independent disks (RAID) array follow the below process steps:

  1. During system startup, press F2 repeatedly when the Intel logo appears to enter BIOS setup
  2. Navigate to Boot Maintenance Manager, then select Change Boot Order.
  3. Use Up/Down arrow keys to highlight the desired boot device, then press Enter to select it
  4. Use + (plus) or - (minus) keys to move the selected device higher or lower in the boot priority list
  5. Press Enter to confirm the new boot order configuration.
  6. Press F10 to save changes and exit BIOS. The system will restart and boot using the new device priority order. 

Change boot order

Verify the system boots from the intended device. If not, repeat the process to adjust the boot order.

Note: If the desired boot device is not listed, verify the device is properly connected and detected in BIOS Hardware Information
