Summary

Information about display issues on Intel® Graphics when using Dell* Universal Dock - D6000.

Description

External monitors won't work and no longer connect on Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics when using graphics driver 27.20.100.9466 and the Dell* Universal Dock - D6000. The issue is not present if rolling the driver back to previous versions.

Resolution

The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Dell* released graphics driver version 27.20.100.9565, A06 to address this issue. Follow these steps:

  1. Make sure Windows® is up to date.
  2. Update to OEM graphics driver 30.0.101.1273, A10. Check with the computer manufacturer for the proper customized version of this driver based on the computer model.
  3. Check with the OEM if additional firmware is available, for instance, a BIOS update or drivers for the docking station.
Additional information

Intel does not recommend the use of any kind of adapters, dockings, or converters. This is because we cannot test all of them, so we cannot guarantee that these are going to work.
