This shows how to enable Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX) with the Intel® Server Board M10JNP2SB and Intel® Xeon® E-2100/E-2200 Processors.
First, verify that you are using an Intel® Xeon® E-2100/E-2200 Processor that supports Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX) via Intel® Server Platform Services (Intel® SPS). The Intel® Server Board M10JNP2S supports Intel® SGX only via Intel® SPS.
To check whether the processor supports Intel SGX via Intel SPS:
Note | Processors listed with Yes, with Intel® ME will not support Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX) on the M10JNP2S board. Intel ME is the Intel® Management Engine. |
If using a processor that supports Intel SGX via Intel SPS, the Intel Server Board M10JNP2SB BIOS will list Intel SGX as Supported and the following options can be selected Disable, Enable, or Software Controlled.
If using a processor that supports Intel SGX via Intel ME only (not Intel SPS), the Intel Server Board M10JNP2S BIOS will list Intel SGX as Not Supported and options will not be selectable. You must use a processor that supports Intel SGX via Intel SPS, not with Intel ME.
