Error Code 52 in Device Manager for Intel® HD Graphics 510

Unable to install the latest graphics driver version 15.33.53.5161

Error : "Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)" reflects under the display adapter section in Device Manager with yellow exclamation bang.

Error Code 52 is a driver digital signature issue with the Intel® Graphics Driver and the operating system. We recommend clean manual installation of latest graphics driver to resolve this.

1. Remove/Roll back the existing graphics drivers via device manager:
2. Open the Device Manager using the steps provided for your operating system:
   1. Windows 7*: Click Start, Open Run command, Type: devmgmt.msc
   2. Windows 8.1* and Windows® 10: Press the Windows key and "X" key together, select Device Manager.
3. Expand Display Adapters section.
4. Find Intel Graphics Driver or Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver (Intel® GMA Driver).
5. Right-click the Intel Graphics Driver and select Uninstall.
6. Select Delete the driver software for this device check box.
7. The system will restart to complete the uninstall process.
8. If no older drivers are stored in the system, the graphics controller in device manager should now be listed as Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, Standard VGA Graphics Adapter, or similar. If not, repeat steps 1–6.
9. Go to Downloads to install the latest Intel Graphics Driver version for Windows* [15.33]
10. If the issue persists, re-image the system with a new installation of the operating system.
