Description

System will not boot after uninstalling the Intel® RST Controller driver under Storage Controllers in the Device Manager.

Resolution

NoteAlways back up all data regularly.
  1. Boot into Safe Mode.
  2. Reinstall the Intel® RST driver, found in the f6flpy package on Download Center, through the Have Disk method in Device Manager.

Additional information

Once the Intel® RST driver is installed for storage management, it cannot be uninstalled. Removing the driver can result in booting issues, drives not being detected in the operating system, and loss of data.
