Description

System will not boot after uninstalling the Intel® RST Controller driver under Storage Controllers in the Device Manager.

Resolution
NoteAlways back up all data regularly.

 

  1. Boot into Safe Mode.
  2. Reinstall the Intel® RST driver, found in the f6flpy package on download center, through the Have Disk method in Device Manager.
Additional information

Once the Intel® RST driver is installed for storage management, it cannot be uninstalled. Removing the driver can result in booting issues, drives not being detected in the OS, and loss of data.
