EOL Announcement for Intel® Rapid Recover Technology
Intel® Rapid Recover Technology (Intel® RRT) is a feature of Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST). It uses RAID 1 (mirroring) functionality to copy data from a designated master drive to a designated recovery drive.
Intel® Rapid Recover Technology feature is reaching EOL and won't be available for you starting from Intel® RST version 18.0.
Legacy Intel® RST UI
- You can use Intel® RST UI to create and manage Intel® RRT volume with Intel® RST versions earlier than 18.0. Starting with Intel® RST version 18.0:
- The legacy Intel® RST UI will be EOL'd.
- Intel® RRT won't be available for use.

- Intel will continue to support and evaluate bugs reported on Intel® Rapid Recover Technology until Q4 2020 on platforms with Intel® RST versions earlier than 18.0.
Intel® Optane™ Memory and Storage Management UI
- Intel® Optane™ Memory and Storage Management UI doesn't support Intel® RRT.
- Intel will focus development efforts into new features for Intel® Optane™ Memory and Storage Management UI.
