What Is the Operational Temperature of an Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processor?

Product Information & Documentation

It depends. Intel can't give a specific operational temperature range of an Intel® Xeon® Scalable Processor because it will depend on:

  • The maximum performance of the heatsink used
  • The way the fans are controlled in a system (which can vary the performance of the heatsink)

Intel recommends you review the information (such as Tcase and DTS_Max) in the Thermal Management section of the processor's Thermal Mechanical Design Guides (if available). Check with their heatsink, chassis, and system manufacturers:

  • If the processor is supported
  • For their recommended thermal guidance
Note Thermal Mechanical Design Guides aren't publically available for all processors.
