How to Adjust the Size of Desktop Icons and Text in Windows® 10?

Environment

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6600U CPU @ 2.60GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.8GHz  Intel(R) HD Graphics 520     

Description

After disabling Intel® HD Graphics 520 in Device Manager and restarting the computer, the screen changed to very big icons/text and low resolution.

Resolution

Follow these steps to change the size of desktop icons and text in Windows® 10

  1. Right click on Windows® icon.
  2. Go to Device Manager.
  3. Expand "Display Adapters" and check the Intel® HD graphics is enabled.
  4. Click on Windows® Icon.
  5. Click on settings icon >  System > Display Tab.
  6. On "Scale and layout" under "Change the size of text ,apps, and other items" select the option to adjust the size. If  needed the resolution can be changed on the same "Display Tab".
