The troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue depend on whether the operating system (OS) is installed on the Intel® Server Board.
If the OS is installed on the Intel Server Board:
- Download the corresponding Intel® Rapid Storage Technology enterprise (Intel® RSTe) AHCI and SCU Software RAID Driver for Windows*.
- To do so, go to the Download Center and search your Intel Server Board model.
- In the search result, look for Intel® Rapid Storage Technology enterprise (Intel® RSTe) AHCI and SCU Software RAID Driver for Windows.
- Unzip the downloaded driver.
- Open the unzipped folder and look for the F6-drivers folder.
- Unzip the zip file in the F6-drivers folder.
- Open the Device Manager > right-click the SAS controller > click Update driver > click Browse my computer for driver software > click Browse to select the path of the F6-drivers folder > check Include subfolders > click Next.
- Open Disk Management. You will see the new hard disk is offline. Right-click the disk and select Online.
- To open Disk Management, right-click the Start button and select Disk Management.
If the OS is not installed on the Intel Server Board:
- Download the corresponding Intel® Rapid Storage Technology enterprise (Intel® RSTe) AHCI and SCU Software RAID Driver for Windows.
- To do so, go to the Download Center and search your server board model.
- In the search result, look for Intel® Rapid Storage Technology enterprise (Intel® RSTe) AHCI and SCU Software RAID Driver for Windows.
- Unzip the downloaded driver.
- Open the unzipped folder and look for the F6-drivers folder.
- Unzip the zip file in the F6-drivers folder.
- Copy the extracted folder to a USB flash drive and select the corresponding folder when installing the operating system.
