Description

How do I check the CPU core voltage?

What is the core voltage of Intel® Core™ i9-9900K and Intel® Core™ i7-9700K Processors?

Resolution

The maximum Vcore of Intel® Core™ i9-9900K is 1.52V. Vcore is the operating voltage for the processor.

If your CPUs supports Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel® XTU), you can use the tool to check the voltage. Note that Intel Core processors that include the letter “K” or "X" in the product line suffix (such as Intel Core i9-10940X or, Core™ i7-9700K, or Core i9-9900K) support Intel® XTU.

  1. Using Intel® XTU

To monitor Vcore voltage on your system that supports Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel® XTU), follow these steps:

    1. Download Intel® Extreme Tuning Utility.
    2. Open the utility and click Configure Hardware Monitor icon located on the lower-right side of the utility.
    3. Select Core Voltage, and click Close.
    4. Core voltage value will be displayed on the lower-right window.
  2. Using the datasheet

For theses CPUs, refer to page 118 under Operating Voltage in the 8th and 9th Generation Intel® Core™ Processor Families Datasheet, Volume 1 of 2.
