How to Boot from a USB Thumb Drive with Windows* Server 2016 Installer after Creating a RAID Volume in UEFI Mode?

Environment

Intel® RAID Module RMSP3CD080F Others: * Bootable RAID 1 volume successfully created from within the UEFI. * The USB stick is recognized in the board BIOS, under the USB configuration menu.

Description

The system does not prompt to boot from off a Universal Serial Bus (USB) thumb with Windows* Server 2016 installer to install this Operating System (OS).

Resolution

Ensure the USB device is formatted in New Technology File System (NTFS) and Globally Unique Identifier (GUID) Partition Table (GPT) partition for Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI).
