Resolution
- Swap the power supplies between them. Make sure each slides in correctly into the Power Supply cage.
- Access the BIOS and proceed as follows:
- Go to Advance --> System Acoustics and Performance Configuration ---> Fan Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) Offset; make sure this value is set to 0.
- On System Acoustics and Performance Configuration, change Acoustic as a priority instead of Performance.
- Update the Field Replaceable Unit and Sensor Data Record (FRUSDR), Baseboard Management Controller (BMC), and BIOS to the latest version available for the board.
- Clear the Complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) using the jumper. See steps below.
How to clear CMOS using the jumper:
- Power down the server and unplug the power cords.
- Open the chassis and remove the Riser #2 assembly.
- Move BIOS Default (DFLT) jumper from the default (Pins 1 and 2) position to the Set BIOS Defaults Position (Pins 2 and 3).
- Wait 5 seconds, then move the jumper back to the Default Position of Pins 1 and 2.&
- Install the riser card assembly.
- Install Power Cords.
- Power on system.
